The Lord Has Chosen Zion (Ps. 132:13-18)

For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread. Her priests I will clothe with salvation, and her saints will shout for joy. There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed. His enemies I will clothe with shame, but on him his crown will shine.” Psalms 132:13-18

Is there any wonder why the people of Israel expect bliss? God swore to dwell in Zion, The City of David (2 Samuel 5:7). In His presence is abundant provisions, abolishing starvation. The righteousness reign throughout, leading the inhabitants in joyful worship. An heir to the throne will come from their own brothers and Israel with be the envy of the world.

Through Jesus, the Father has chosen to dwell within the hearts of His faith children by His Spirit. He adorns them in righteousness and their children have abundant provisions. He has given them authority to vanquish His enemies and the ability to live holy. By faith sinners are adopted into His family and have become joint heirs with His One and only Son. Together they have inherited eternal life, and shine as the brightness of the sky. As a virtuous wife, His Church shines as a crown.

Has He chosen to dwell in you?
